Hamilton Police investigate East End shooting

Hamilton Police are investigating the city’s 46th shooting incident of 2019 that took place Sunday (Dec. 22) night in the city’s East End.

Hamilton Police are investigating the city’s 46th shooting incident of 2019 that took place Sunday (Dec. 22) night in the city’s East End.

Police say shortly after 9:30 p.m., they and Hamilton Paramedic Services responded for a report of a shooting in the area of Oriole Crescent and Glengrove Avenue.

Once on scene, a 22-year-old injured Hamilton man was located. He was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

At this time police believe this was a targeted incident and asking local residents to check their security cameras for any suspicious activity.

Through investigation, a person of interest and vehicle has been established.

The man is described as standing 5’5″ with a slim build. He was wearing a dark jacket with fur around the hood at the time of the incident.

The suspect vehicle is described as a dark-coloured four-door sedan.
