Hamilton Police dealing with barricaded person on West Mountain

UPDATE: Police said late Wednesday morning that the situation has been resolved.
Hamilton Police are the scene of an incident on the West Mountain where a person is barricaded Wednesday morning (March 10).
Residents are being asked to avoid the area of Mohawk Road W and Rice Avenue until police have resolved the situation.
“It is a contained situation and there is no risk to the public,” a police Tweet said.
“We ask everyone to avoid this area as police work to bring this to a peaceful resolution.”
