The Hamilton Police Service made another public plea Wednesday (June 2) for information regarding a commercial robbery that occurred earlier this year in Ancaster.

On Feb. 28, shortly before 10:45 p.m., police responded to a robbery at the Esso gas station located at 33 Wilson St West.

Police say the suspect pointed “what appeared to be a firearm” at the store clerk, demanded cash, and proceeded to threaten the employee.

The store employee was not physically injured, according to police.

The suspect is described as a white male between the ages of 25 and 30. Police say he is between five-foot-eight and five-foot-ten inches tall with an average build.

At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing all black: a balaclava, gloves, a winter jacket with a brown fur-lined hood, high-top running shoes with a white heel, and pants.

The suspect was last seen fleeing on a bicycle northbound through the Esso parking lot.
