Hamilton Police arrest 3rd and final suspect in Aberdeen Ave house shooting

Hamilton Police announced the arrest of the last outstanding male in relation to the shooting inside a residence on Aberdeen Ave.

On August 9, shortly after 6:30 p.m., three males attended a short-term rental on Aberdeen, according to police. While inside the residence, one male allegedly discharged a firearm.

A 17-year-old youth from Toronto is facing charges of:

  • Carry Concealed weapon
  • Weapons Dangerous
  • Careless Use, Storage of Firearm
  • Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
  • Occupant of Motor Vehicle knowing Firearm present
  • Possession over $5,000 (stolen vehicle)
  • Possession Contrary to Order

Anthony Mohammed, a 19-year-old male from Toronto, was already charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm and occupying motor vehicle knowing firearm present.

The third suspect was identified by Hamilton Police as Christopher Mitchell, an 18-year-old male from the Peel Region.
