Hamilton Police were on scene at a fatal single vehicle collision.
On Saturday January 2, 2021, near 3:30 p.m., a 25-year-old Hamilton woman was driving her 2009 Toyota sedan northbound on the Red Hill Valley Parkway in the City of Hamilton.
Her vehicle entered into the grassy centre median and travelled approximately 100m before striking the train bridge abutment. EMS and police responded to the collision scene. The driver succumbed to her injuries shortly after arrival at hospital.
The HPS Collision Reconstruction Unit has taken carriage of the investigation.
Both directions of the RHVP were closed during this investigation and reopened shortly after 8p.m. Detectives have not ruled out any contributing factors
