Hamilton’s health-care partners say approximately 199,742 residents have received a COVID-19 vaccine as of Wednesday (May 5).
That means 36.5 per cent of the eligible population has been given at least one dose.
Meanwhile, Hamilton Public Health Services says it continues to work with De dwa da dehs ney>s Aboriginal Health Centre (DAHC), Hamilton Regional Indian Centre (HRIC), and Niwasa to set up mobile pop-up vaccination clinics for Indigenous people at Perkins Centre.
The clinic will be at 1429 Main St. East on May 8 and 9, between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. and between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Adults (18-plus) from the Indigenous population can book an appointment by calling the Public Health Services COVID-19 Hotline at 905-974-9848, option 7.
These are all by-appointment-only clinics. Walk-ins are not permitted.
