Hamilton motorcyclist charged in death of pedestrian; another injured

A 54-year-old Hamilton man is facing multiple charges after police say the motorcyclist struck two people–killing one and injuring the other.

A 54-year-old Hamilton man is facing multiple charges after police say the motorcyclist struck two people–killing one and injuring the other.

On Saturday, Dec. 28, 2019, shortly after 5:00 p.m., police say a motorcyclist was travelling eastbound on Mohawk Rd E at Upper Gage when he struck two pedestrians who were crossing Mohawk Rd beyond the intersection.

The surviving 89-year-old female pedestrian continues to “slowly recover from her injuries”, according to Hamilton Police.

Scott Watson, 52, of Hamilton is facing charges of careless driving causing death and careless driving causing bodily harm.

He is scheduled to appear in court on March 5.
