A Hamilton mom and recent retiree is making vacation plans after winning $100,000 in the lottery.

According to an OLG press release, Hamilton’s Marjorie Geroux lived out a ‘Price is Right’ dream at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto recently, dropping a chip on a real Plinko Board to win $100,000 with the new $5 Instant Plinko.

Geroux said she is a regular player, and this is her first big win.

“I love Instant tickets – especially Plinko,” she said.

“When the chip landed on Plinko at the store, I had no idea what I won until the OLG rep called and told me. I’ve had a hard time sleeping since then.”

The new retiree said she felt like she was struck by lightning when she realized what she won.

“My heart started pounding and my body went tingly,” the 61-year-old said.

“The first thing I want to do is take a nice vacation with my husband. We’ll spend some time planning and hopefully, it will be safe to travel soon. This is the perfect way to kick off my retirement.”

The winning ticket was purchased at Jug City Convenience on Upper Gage Avenue on the East Mountain.
