A Hamilton is celebrating becoming a millionaire after winning big in the lotto.
John Zdrilich of Stoney Creek won $3 million when playing OLG’s Instant Triple Millions scratch game.
The 63-year-old father of two, said he uncovered his win and then told his sister.
“She was very surprised,” Zdrilich said while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his cheque. “It was surreal.”
Zdrilich said he plans to invest most of his winnings.
“If you don’t play, you can’t win,” he said. “It feels amazing.”
Instant Triple Millions is available for $30 and the top prize is $3,000,000.
The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K on Jane Street in North York, the OLG says in a press release.
OLG is now accepting in-person prize claims by appointment only for customers with prizes of $1,000 or more who wish to claim at the OLG Prize Centre.
