A Hamilton man is facing charges related to child pornography following a weeks-long investigation.

In June 2020, the Hamilton Police Service says their Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit began an investigation into an individual who was in possession of child pornography.

Police say the suspect was identified as residing in Hamilton and a search warrant was executed at his dwelling on July 16, by members of the Hamilton ICE Unit, Technological Crime Unit and Division 10 Uniform Patrol.

Police say Bradley James Duncan, 44, from Hamilton, was arrested and charged with two separate counts of possessing child pornography. A forensic examination of devices capable of storing digital media is ongoing and it is possible that further charges may be filed.

Police have charged Duncan with:

  • Possession of Child Pornography x 2

The Hamilton Police Service is a member of the Ontario Provincial Strategy to Combat Internet Child Exploitation. This project has been made possible by a grant from the Ministry of the Solicitor General.

The Hamilton Police Service says that their ICE Unit remains dedicated to investigating and holding offenders accountable for internet-based child exploitative offences, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Anyone with information they think could help investigations into these crimes is asked to contact any member of the ICE unit by calling 905-540-5247.

Police ask anyone with information in regards to this individual or incident to provide information anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or by submitting anonymous tips online at http://www.crimestoppershamilton.com.
