Around 12:40 p.m. on Friday, November 13, police responded to a domestic disturbance between a couple and their son at a residence in the area of Upper Paradise and Bendamere Avenue on Hamilton’s west mountain.

Officers arrived at the scene and found Catherine Ambrose and Peter Ambrose, both 63, suffering from stab wounds.

Catherine was taken to hospital and later succumbed to her injuries. Peter sustained serious injuries and is recovering.

30 year old Devon Ambrose has been charged with second degree murder, aggravated assault, and two counts of assaulting a peace officer with a weapon.
