Hamilton man charged with child pornography-related offences

A 21-year-old Hamilton man has been charged with child pornography-related offences.

Hamilton police say that in January 2020, the service’s Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit received information from the National Child Exploitation Crime Centre in regards to an unknown person allegedly being in possession of child pornography.
Police say a male suspect was identified and a search warrant was executed at his home on Jan. 23. Police say various devices capable of storing digital data were seized and the suspect was arrested, charged and brought before the courts.
Police have charged Ramses Nesbeth with possession of child pornography.

A forensic examination of the seized devices is ongoing and further charges may be filed, police say.
The suspect was brought into custody with his bail opposed.
