Hamilton man arrested in connection to series of sex assaults

A Hamilton man has been arrested in connection to a series of sexual assaults earlier this month in the city.

Six separate incidents were reported to police between July 1 and July 7. In the incidents, it was reported that the suspect approached women and slapped them on their buttocks while riding past on his bicycle.

Muhammed Ebrar Aydin, a 28-year-old Hamilton resident, was arrested Thursday (July 23) morning and is scheduled to appear in court later in the day awaiting a bail hearing.

Ebrar Aydin has been charged with six counts of sexual assault.
