A 39-year-old Hamilton man has been arrested in connection to an alleged robbery spree.

Over the course of a few days this week, several robberies were reported in Hamilton’s west end, Ancaster and Dundas. The robberies took place at a couple of convenience stores, gas stations and a restaurant.

Police say that during these incidents, the suspect entered the businesses with a metal bar and would demand money. The suspect then fled the scene with cash and goods from the business. In one case, as reported by local media outlets, he managed to flee with lotto tickets.

No one was injured during the incidents, police say.

The Hamilton Police BEAR Unit was brought in to investigate and they identified and arrested the suspect Wednesday.

He was taken into police custody without incident and is expected to appear in court Thursday to answer to several criminal charges.

Hamilton Police are asking anyone with information to call Detective Constable Patrick Cole at 905-546-3886 or Detective Sergeant Andrea Torrie 905-546-2991 of the BEAR Unit.
