Hamilton father of two celebrates lottery win

D’Atri matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the January 28, 2020 Lotto Max draw to win $100,000.

“I checked my tickets while at the store,” D’Arti said as he collected his cheque at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.

“I didn’t have my glasses on, so I thought I won $1,000!”
The 58-year old father of two called his wife as soon as he learned about his big win. The news hasn’t really sunk in yet.
“I am still in shock!” he said.
Robert plans to invest his winnings as he figures out his next steps.
“I will enjoy the comfort of having money in the bank. This is good. It will make life easier,” he said.
The winning ticket was purchased at Gold Door Variety on Gailmont Drive in East Hamilton.
