Carol and Joseph Ridsdale of Dundas matched all seven Encore numbers in the exact order to win $1-million in the Dec. 26, 2020 draw.
The couple, who are in their mid-to-late 50s, are regular lottery players.
“I was having a frustrating morning and decided to stop what I was doing and check our lottery tickets,” shared Carol, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up their winnings. “I used the OLG Lottery App and when I saw Big Winner, I thought my phone was broken.”
Carol said she called Joe over to tell him they had won $100,000. Joe then realized there were more than just six zeros.
The couple plans to pay off their mortgage and invest in their retirement.
