An Ancaster couple is celebrating a big lottery win.

Shawn Witzell and Erin King are $100,000 richer after winning on an Instant Super Set for Life scratch ticket.

Witzell, 40, and King, 46, discovered their win when King played their ticket.

“I revealed the prize and was so shocked,” King said, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up their cheque.

“I showed Shawn and we decided to check it on the OLG Lottery App. When the words Big Winner appeared on the screen, we were ecstatic,” she said.

“I sent a photo of the winning ticket to our family and they thought it was a fake!” Witzell added..

The couple is still considering their plans for the windfall.

“We’re going to do some nice things for our family. We’re enjoying the time to figure out what to do – it’s nice to just know that it’s there,” they said.

The winning ticket was purchased at Mac’s on Garth Street in Hamilton.

The OLG Prize Centre in Toronto has resumed in-person prize claims for winning-ticket holders of $50,000 or more by appointment only.
