Environment Canada has issued a frost advisory for the city, with near-zero or below zero temperatures expected this evening and reoccurring nightly through Tuesday.

“An extended period of significantly colder than normal temperatures will result in several days of frost and, at times, hard freezes across much of Southern Ontario,” says Environment Canada.

Today, May 7, marks the beginning of the 2020 Frost Advisory season for some Ontario regions.

Residents should preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive crops and plants that may be destroyed be frost.
