Ontario’s Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate a fire at a Hamilton marina that destroyed several boats and is estimated to have caused more than $185,000 worth of damage.
The Hamilton Fire Department (HFD) was called to Fifty Point Marina just after 4 a.m. on Friday morning (Nov. 20) to reports of a fire.
According to HFD, upon arrival on the scene, fire crews found five boats ablaze and immediately began trying to bring the fire under control, which they were able to do a short time later.
No injuries have been reported and the fire has been deemed ‘suspicious’ in nature, according to the HFD.
