Fire crews battle early morning fire in Hamilton

Hamilton firefighters are on the scene of an apartment fire Thursday morning (Nov. 12) in Dundas.
At 7:00 a.m., fire crews were called to 1884 Main St. W. to reports of a multiple-alarm apartment fire.
Crews were able to safely execute the rescue of a tenant who was able to make his way to the balcony.
The Hamilton Fire Department said in a Tweet that the fire caused heavy damage to the unit and crews are on-site repairing and clearing heavy smoke conditions.
First responders say there are no injuries to report.
