East Mountain power outage affecting more than 1,700 Hamilton residents, businesses

A power outage on the East Mountain Friday morning (Nov. 27) is leaving more than 1,700 Hamilton residents and businesses in the dark.
Alectra Utilities is reporting that there is a limited power outage in the area between Queensdale Avenue East to Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway and from Upper Kenilworth Avenue to Upper Sherman Avenue affecting 1732 customers.
The utility provider says the cause of the outage is being investigated and crews are on the scene to make repairs.
Alectra estimates the time for power restoration to be around 11:00 a.m.
