Crews Responding to Reported Power Outage in Hamilton

Some Hamilton residents are currently finding themselves without power this evening.

Around 9:55 pm, Alectra Canada confirmed reports of outages affecting residents in the area of StoneyCreek in Hamilton.

Replies to the tweet indicate several other areas in the city are affected by the outages.

Crews are currently investigating the cause.

UPDATE:

Alectra confirms the outage is affecting approximately 2154 homes and businesses from Ridge Road to Barton Street, from Millen Road to 50 Road.

The estimated time for the power to be restored is 2:00 am.

There are also confirmed outages affecting 1793 homes and businesses in the Dundurn to Caroline street area, from Hunter to Florence.

The estimated time for the power to be restored is 1:00 am.

UPDATE 2:

The outage is still affecting approximately 300 homes and businesses from Jones road to Margaret from Ridge road to Barton street east. 

The estimated time for the power to be restored is 2:00 am.
