Security footage from a home in East End Hamilton captured the Grinch in the process of stealing a recently delivered Amazon package Monday (Dec. 9).
The security cam video, posted to the Hamilton subreddit by user rjay003, shows a man on a bike cruising down the street and circling back when he notices the distinctive Amazon box on the doorstep of the home.

The man parks his bike and walks up to the porch and grabs the box, which he then wraps in a coat and then takes off.
In the Reddit post, entitled ‘East End Porch Pirate – Amazon Package didn’t last 3 minutes,’ rjay003 writes:
“Today (Dec 9 2019) this guy stole an Amazon package exactly 3 minutes after it was delivered! Ottawa/Cannon area…Have you seen this guy?”
Some Redditors were quick to suggest alternative delivery methods, while others offered little comfort.
“Welcome to the hood?” wrote one.
“My question to the porch pirates, what do you do if its a box of stuff you dont want or need?” asked another.
The poster said that they reached out to Amazon to explain what happened and they were, in fact, able to secure a refund.
In the meantime, keep an eye out for Hamilton’s own version of the Grinch.
