Arrest made in stabbing incident as police search for 2nd suspect

Hamilton Police say they’ve made an arrest in a stabbing incident, while one of the suspects remains outstanding.

Police say Fuhill Badei, 20, from Hamilton turned himself in on Thursday.

  • Carry Conceal Weapon
  • Use firearm in the commission of an offence
  • Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Assault with a Weapon

Still wanted is Joseph Barham-Ferguson, 20, from Hamilton. He’s wanted for aggravated assault and failure to comply with his youth sentence.

The incident occurred at The West Lounge Cafe located at 807 Main St. W shortly after 2:00 a.m. Oct. 5.

Police say a physical altercation occurred between one male and the two accused.

“During the incident, the lone male received an injury from a knife held by one of the suspects,” according to Hamilton Police Service. “The second suspect displayed a handgun and then pointed it at the victim. The victim was transported to the hospital by his friends. Bar staff recognized the level of injury and contacted police.”
