The Ancaster Farmers’ Market is making a return this week but before you go, you should know it’s going to be a different experience this year.

Starting Wednesday (July 15), the market will be open for face-to-face shopping, albeit from a safe distance.

The market will run from 3 to 6 p.m. at Ancaster Fairgrounds and they are asking shoppers to limit attendance to one person per family.

“We will be social distancing,” it says on the market website. “We ask you to shop and go. Vendors will handle the product.”

Shoppers are welcome at the market if they have:

  • no symptoms of fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, or shortness of breath
  • Have not travelled outside of Canada in the last 14 days
  • Have not been in close contact with a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19

The Ancaster Farmers’ Market’s online store is still up and running for curbside pickup.

Online shoppers are asked to place their orders between Thursday and Monday for pickup at the Fairgrounds on Wednesdays. Shoppers are given a time slot in which to collect their items so as to prevent overcrowding.
