Air Canada will be suspending transborder flights to the U.S. before the end of April.

Due to the fact the governments of Canada and the U.S. have agreed to extend the border closure by 30 days, Air Canada will be suspending flights to the U.S. as of April 26.

Those who have already purchased tickets for flights after April 26 will be able to reschedule their flights at no additional cost.

The suspension will last until May 22, but it could be longer if the border closure is extended again.

Since March 16, Air Canada has reduced scheduled trips by more than 90 per cent as a result of the pandemic.

Additionally, since the border closure on March 21, Air Canada maintained limited service to 11 U.S. destinations–primarily as a way to repatriate Canadians in the U.S.
