Woman Charged with Trespassing and Resisting Arrest in Oakville

A woman is facing charges after allegedly being spotted trespassing with break-in instruments.

Halton police say that on April 15, an Oakville resident saw an unfamiliar vehicle parked in her neighbour’s driveway in the Third Line and Marine Drive area.

The resident reportedly contacted police to request an investigation into the matter.

Police say officers went to the scene and located a woman in the suspect vehicle who was allegedly trespassing on the property.

Police allege the accused was in possession of break and enter tools, along with illegal drugs.

Police say 37-year-old Oakville woman Kelly Slanholf was arrested and charged with trespassing at night, possession of break-in instruments, unauthorized possession of a weapon, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.

She was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
