Victims ID’d in Horrific Crash on Oakville Border

The victims in a horrific fatal crash – which killed three people, including two children – along the Oakville-Mississauga border have been identified and Peel police are asking witnesses to come forward.

The incident took place on Winston Churchill Blvd. near North Service Rd. at 11 p.m. last Sunday.

That’s where a silver Mazda 6 was travelling southbound before crossing the centre median and colliding with a silver Mercedes C250, which was travelling north.

The driver of the Mazda, Canville Roberts, 40, of Mississauga, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Mercedes, Camall Brown-Williams ,24, suffered non-life-threatening injuries while the passenger, Lakeisha Edwards-Smith, 25, remains in a Toronto trauma centre in critical condition.

Two kids in the Mercedes were transported to hospital but died in hospital of their injuries.

The kids have been identified as five-year-old Ayon Brown, the son of Edwards-Smith and Brown-Williams, and Keziah Edwards-Young, 13, Edwards-Smith’s brother.

Edwards-Smith’s goddaughter, Jynnai Hartley, 7, was also in the Mercedes but survived the crash. She was taken to a Toronto trauma centre where she remains in stable condition.

First responders from Peel and Halton regions were dispatched to the call. 

Investigators are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision, have dashboard video footage of the incident, or who may have information regarding the actions of the drivers prior to the collision.
