UPDATE: Youth Facing Charges Following Elementary School Stabbing in Milton

Two youths were injured and one suspect is facing charges in connection with a stabbing incident at a Milton elementary school.
Two youths were injured and one suspect is facing charges in connection with a stabbing incident at a Milton elementary school.
Halton police say officers are investigating an altercation between youths that took place at Tiger Jeet Singh Elementary School (650 Yates Drive in Milton).
Police say that at 3:35 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5, officers responded to a disturbance call at the school.
According to police, several youths were involved in the fight.

Two youths reportedly received injuries when a knife was used during the incident.
Police say the two victims were subsequently transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police have since confirmed that the injuries are mild in nature.
In a previous statement, police indicated a male was arrested earlier on Wednesday evening and that a weapon was recovered. Police say that report was erroneous; as that arrest was for an unrelated matter.
However, the suspect in the double slashing outside of Tiger Jeet School was arrested later in the evening. Police say that detectives executed a search warrant at the suspect’s home and recovered a knife.
A 13-year-old Milton boy is facing several weapons charges. He was released into the custody of his parents and will appear in Youth Court later this month.
Police say the youths involved in the altercation were known to each other.
This is considered an isolated incident and there is no threat to students, staff at the school, or the public, police say.
