The Town of Oakville is seeking community feedback as they assess the shoreline protection needs at Shorewood Promenade and Holyrood Promenade, located off of Shorewood Place and Holyrood Avenue.

Following consecutive years of high lake level conditions, shoreline conditions have been made worse due to no shoreline protection at Shorewood Promenade and the on-going deterioration of shoreline protection at Holyrood Promenade.

Shoreline construction at both sites is tentatively planned for 2021.

From now until January 7, 2021, town staff are seeking community feedback on these projects, including alternative solutions, evaluation criteria, environmental impacts and mitigation measures.

The following material, including background information on shoreline conditions and the deterioration of the current shoreline protection, updates from investigations, evaluation of alternatives for improvements and the preliminary preferred alternatives for each site, is now available for review.
