Toronto Universities Evacuated Following Bomb Threats

Two Toronto universities have been evacuated after police confirmed that several post-secondary institutions have received bomb threats.
Shortly after 10:00 a.m., Toronto police said that officers are responding to numerous bomb threats to post-secondary campuses throughout the city.
Police said they’re investigating and working with schools to evacuate where necessary.

OCAD University says that all buildings on campus will be closed until further notice and that all buildings are being evacuated.
OCAD also says that 100 McCaul Street is closed until further notice.

Ryerson University also announced that the Chang School is closed for a police investigation.
Ryerson says that anyone in the Chang School area is encouraged to go to the Podium building.

There have been no evacuation notices posted by the University of Toronto at this time (and no notices posted by UTM in particular).
There is also no indication that Sheridan College campuses in Mississauga, Brampton or Oakville are affected at this time.
Anyone who has received a threat or has information relating to the investigation is asked to call police.

Toronto police say that George Brown College and Humber College were also affected by threats.

While police say the threats are being taken very seriously, some schools have been given the all-clear to re-open, including the Chang School.

George Brown College says it’s continuing to work with police following a “threatening email.”
