There is something about wondering around town and looking at Christmas lights that is incredibly calming and special.

Luckily, the Town of Oakville is not lacking when it comes to lighting displays.

There is one house in the town, however, that goes above and beyond the average Christmas lighting display.

The Jackson family lights, located on 133 McCraney St. W.

The lighting display at this Oakville home this year features more than 110,000 LED lights as well as over one kilometre of extension cords. The installation of this incredible display took an estimated 300 man hours and was started on Thanksgiving weekend.

The electricity bill for all these lights costs roughly $250 per month.

Oakville residents are encouraged to come out and see these lights and to help the family support breast cancer patients and their families during the holiday season.

The family has already raised $1,000 of the $5,000 goal.

Visit the Jackson Lights website to donate and for more information.

The display will be available for viewing until January 2019 with the following hours.

Sunday to Thursday – 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Friday and Saturday – 5 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Christmas Eve and Boxing Day – 5 p.m.
