The Halton Regional Police Service is investigating a “suspicious fire” at an Oakville restaurant.

At around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, police were called to Ben & Florentine Breakfast and Lunch Restaurant on Lakeshore Rd. W after reports of an explosion.

Police said someone entered the closed restaurant through the backdoor.

Multiple fires were set and traces of gasoline were found, according to police. “BLM” was reportedly spray-painted on a wall inside.
