Halton police are searching for a suspect in relation to a break and enter in Halton Hills.

Officers were dispatched to the Best Western Hotel in Georgetown at 365 Guelph St. on July 17 around 1 a.m.

That’s when a man “was inadvertently confronted by a member of staff,” say investigators, who found the suspect hiding in the laundry room area with a screwdriver.

The man fled the scene on foot.

Nothing was taken and no employees were harmed, say police.

The suspected is described as white, 28-to-34-years-old, standing 5-foot-10 to 6-feet-2.

He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black track pants and brown hiking style boots.

Anyone with information is asked to phone Det.-Const. Simon Burden of the Georgetown criminal investigations bureau at 905-825-4747 ext. 2116 or CrimeStoppers 1-800-222-8477.
