Suspect Arrested Following Bank Robbery in Burlington

Halton Police have made an arrest following a robbery that occurred at a bank in the City of Burlington.

On July 24, 2018, at around 12:50 p.m., Halton Police received a call reporting the TD Bank located at 1505 Guelph Line (Guelph Line and Upper Middle Rd) had been robbed and the suspect fled the scene with a quantity of cash.

The suspect was initially described as a white male in his early 40s, standing 5-foot-10 and weighing 140 pounds, who had dark brown hair and was wearing a dark jacket, black shirt, black pants, and gold rimmed sunglasses.

No injuries were reported at the time of the robbery.

Now, following a lengthy investigation with the Hamilton Police BEAR Unit, Halton Police have arrested and charged a suspect. 

According to police,it was determined, during the investigation, that the same suspect was also responsible for similar Scotiabank robbery that had occurred in Hamilton on May 10, 2018.

As a result of the investigation, Scott King (50) of Toronto has been charged with two alleged counts of robbery.

The accused was released on a From 10 and 11.1 (promise to appear and an undertaking) with a court date in April.
