A Snowfall warning is in effect for Burlington and Oakville with snowfalls amounting to 15 to 25 cm throughout Monday and into Tuesday morning.
“Light snow will move into the region early this morning and become heavy at times this afternoon and continue tonight,” said to Environment Canada. “Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas.”
In Milton and Halton Hills, “snowfall accumulations of 10 to 15 cm are possible by the time the snow ends late [Monday]”.
This snowfall is due to a developing low-pressure system that will track south of the lower Great Lakes, according to Environment Canada.
