Seven Halton senior facilities face COVID outbreaks

Halton Public Health reports seven facilities that care for seniors are now facing COVID-19 outbreaks.

Since the beginning of October, there have been 186 confirmed cases in these facilities that have been determined to be part of an outbreak, which is determined by how the virus spreads.

Here is a breakdown of cases in each municipality. Some of the cases include staff members at the facilities, but the people who have died have all been residents.

Oakville
Chartwell Waterford – 58 cases, seven deaths
Post Inn Village – one case
Trafalgar Lodge – one case
Wyndham Manor – 56 cases, one death

Halton Hills
Amica Georgetown – 21 cases, two deaths
Georgetown Hospital Complex Transitional Care Department – two cases

Burlington
The Village of Tansley Woods – 47 cases, seven deaths
