Halton police are warning residents of a phishing scam.

Halton police are warning residents of a phishing scam.

Here’s the deal.

They’re showing up from the Apple app store — scammers e-mail a fake invoice and ask you to click on a link within it if you didn’t authorize the purchase.

Remember, Apple e-mails come from @apple.com and they will always your name.

If you believe you’ve been a target or victim of fraud, report the incident by calling the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501.
