The application has been received and now it’s time for Oakville residents to weigh in on the future of Glen Abbey
Two public information meetings are taking place on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, regarding the future of 1333 Dorval Dr.
The purpose of this meeting is to provide the general public with the opportunity to hear details about the proposed redevelopment of the Glen Abbey Golf Course, and to provide Town staff with initial feedback.
ClubLink’s proposal consists of an official plan amendment, a zoning bylaw amendment, and a plan of subdivision providing for a mixed use residential and commercial development consisting of a total of 3,222 residential units (141 single detached dwellings, 299 townhouse units, and 2,782 apartment units) plus 11,270 square metres of commercial including retail and office.

A formal public meeting will be held in front of Oakville town council in the near future.
There are currently no other applications for the land. Development is temporarily blocked under a bylaw.
The meetings are in a drop-in format.
They’re being held at the Town Hall’s south atrium (1225 Trafalgar Rd.) from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
If a person or public body doesn’t make oral submissions at a public meeting or written submissions to council c/o the Town Clerk in the Clerk’s Department 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville, Ontario L6H 0H3 or [email protected] before the proposed official plan amendment is adopted; before the zoning by-law amendment is passed or before the approval authority gives or refuses to give approval to the draft plan of subdivision:
a) the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Town of Oakville Council to the Ontario Municipal Board; and
b) the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the board, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
