A possibly armed suspect is fleeing from police in Milton on Thursday morning.

The man fled on foot after a pursuit and crash in Campbellville, say Halton police.

The man fled on foot after a pursuit and crash in Campbellville, say Halton police.

It happened near the Twiss Rd. and Reid Sideroad area around 11 a.m.

Halton police and OPP are looking for the man near Hwy. 401 and Guelph Line.

The suspect is described as black wearing a black hoodie.

Call 911 if you see him and do not confront the suspect, warn police.

UPDATE: The suspect is in custody, said police shortly before noon. The heavy police presence in Campbellville will soon be cleared.

UPDATE: The incident stems from an earlier gunpoint carjacking in Brampton, say Peel police.
