It’s a sad day for some.
We recently had to say goodbye to a popular store at the Upper Oakville Shopping Centre.
The shopping centre recently announced (on May 21, 2019), that The Flower Place has closed its doors after more than 30 years.
“We would like to thank May, Grace and their family for all of their hard work and commitment to their business, the community and the shopping centre since the very beginning,” reads the shopping centre’s website. “Enjoy your retirement, May and the best of luck in your new career, Grace. We will miss you very much.”

In addition, the store has also updated its Facebook page to say ‘permanently closed’.
“After over 30 years of serving Oakville, we have closed our doors,” reads the store’s Facebook page. “Thank you to our customers for supporting us through the years!”
There is currently no word on what will be replacing The Flower Place, however, we will provide updates as they become available.
Are you sad to see this store go?
