Due to the overwhelming success of the summer 30/60 Play Challenge, the City of Burlington is launching a winter edition.

As of December 21, teams or individuals can qualify for a prize by completing at least 30 activities in 60 days.

Activities can include skating, tobogganing, skiing, hiking, building a snowman, and make a snow angel.

The contest closes February 18, 2020, after which, 21 random winners will be selected from teams that complete at least 30 activities.

Additionally, the grand prize, a $100 Recreation Services gift card, will go to the person/team with the most points.

“This is our first winter 30/60 challenge and we’re very excited for it. If it is nearly as popular as the summer 30/60 challenges, we expect there to be a lot of friendly competition and lots of fun activities happening. Chris Glenn, Director of Recreation Services, said in a news release.

“It’s also a great reason to get outside and be active during the winter. With a little preparation, we can have just as much fun in the winter as we can during the warmer months,” he continued.
