A popular dessert hotspot in Burlington has announced that it is expanding in a major way.
Co-founders of Kelly’s Bake Shoppe in Burlington recently took to Instagram to announce that the popular business is expanding to Prince Edward County.
“I’ve been kind of away from the bake shop for the last couple of months, really since February, going through all these different towns in Ontario,” Kelly Childs, co-founder of Kelly’s Bake Shoppe said in the recent Instagram video.
The property that Kelly’s has purchased is roughly three-acres in size and is located at 13633 Loyalist Parkway – in between Bloomfield and Picton.

“Kelly’s is going to be a part of this whole beautiful property that we now have, and we’re also going to be bringing in some amazing other elements,” Erinn Weatherbie, co-founder of Kelly’s Bake Shoppe said in the video.
The two co-founders didn’t go into details about what other elements they will be bringing in, however, they did note that they will be acquiring a liquor licence, there will be a patio and a deck, and dogs will be welcome.
Along with announcing their expansion, the two co-founders also noted that they will not be leaving Burlington and that they will always have a presence in the city. The two explained that this expansion is only the next step for Kelly’s.
The grand opening of the new location is expected to take place in the spring of 2020. In the meantime, however, there will be pop-up dates this August.
