Police seeking witnesses to robbery in Georgetown

Police are seeking witnesses to a robbery that occurred in Georgetown.

On Thursday, January 14, 2021, at approximately 8:20 pm, two males entered the Daisy Mart located at Delrex Boulevard and Mountainview Road in Georgetown, according to police.

Police say the male parties approached the employee and made a demand for money.

According to police, a quantity of money was obtained and the male parties ran westbound from the store.

The first suspect is described as a Black male, who was approximately 20-years-old and was wearing dark clothing, a balaclava and gloves.

The second suspect is described as a white male, who was approximately 20-years-old and was wearing dark clothing.

Police are requesting that if anyone was in the area at the time of this incident and may have seen something or has dash camera footage, to contact Detective Mike Maltar of the 1 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4747 ext. 2417.
