Halton Police are currently searching for a suspect who allegedly used counterfeit money at a store in the Town of Oakville.
Police allege that on Feb. 22, 2019, a female suspect went to the DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse) located at 310 North Service Road West in Oakville.
Police say the alleged suspect purchased two items and paid for them with a counterfeit $100.00 currency.
In total, the items cost $84.72 and suspect received back $16.00 in Canadian currency.

Police are describing the alleged suspect as a white female who is in her early 20s. Police say the suspect is approximately 5’9″, and 145 lbs., with brown collar-length hair. The suspect, according to police, was wearing a white long-sleeved sweater, olive drab pants with rips in the knees, brown women’s high heel combat boots, a light brown cross-body bag, a pair of black sunglasses perched on her head, and a metal chain necklace.
Police say the suspect also has tattoos on her entire left forearm.
