Police Seek Alleged TV Thief in Milton

A man walked into a furniture store and stole a 40-inch TV in Milton, Halton police allege, and they’re hoping someone can identify him.

“He walks out of the store without making any attempt to pay,” said Const. Naresh Dabas from the district response unit which is focusing on retail crime as Halton police are cracking down on shoplifting across the region.

A suspect is being sought by investigators in relation to an incident at The Brick on Nov. 27 at 1205 Maple Ave.

The suspect went into the store around 4:30 p.m., heading straight for the electronics department.

He allegedly waited until staff were tied up with other customers and left with the large box.

The Samsung flat panel TV is valued at $495.

The man is described as black in his early 30s.

He stands about 5-foot-9, weighing 190 pounds.

The suspect was wearing a checkered blue/white shirt, black jacket, and blue jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to phone 905-825-4747 ext. 2351 or CrimeStoppers 1-800-222-8477.
