Police searching for Oakville bank robber

​The Halton Regional Police Service is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in a bank robbery.

Wednesday, just before 3 p.m., a lone male suspect entered the National Bank of Canada located at 2680 Sheridan Garden Dr. in Oakville, according to police.

The suspect allegedly approached the bank teller and passed a note demanding cash. The teller complied and the suspect fled the area in an unknown direction.

Police say no weapons were seen or mentioned and there were no injuries as a result of the robbery.

The suspect is described as a “white male, approximately 35-45 years old, unshaven with a thin build (160 lbs) and approximately 5’6″-5’8″ tall”.

“The suspect was reportedly wearing a light blue jacket, grey scarf, a grey ‘Billabong’ baseball hat, prescription reading glasses, dark coloured pants, and grey/black shoes”, said Halton police.
