Police Nab Alleged Burlington Bank Robber

A suspect accused of robbing two Burlington banks in one day is behind bars on Tuesday.

The holdups took place on April 9 — the first was at a TD Canada Trust around 8:30 a.m. at 596 Plains Rd. E.
That’s when a man entered the branch and passed a note indicating he was armed and demanded money, Halton police allege.
He fled with cash.

The man hit up the RBC at 15 Plains Rd Ed., near Waterdown Rd., at 2 p.m., again approaching a teller. The suspect passed a note saying he was armed with a gun and demanded money.
He made off with cash.
The suspect was identified as Adam Patrick Delise, 36, formerly of Oakville and now of no fixed address, and police released photos on Monday afternoon.
Investigators with the OPP Repeat Offenders Parole Enforcement (ROPE) squad arrested the suspect at the Appleby GO station on Tuesday around 9:10 a.m.
The man allegedly had a robbery note and cash from the robberies on him.
Delise is charged with two counts of robbery, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, unlawfully at large, and two counts of breach probation.
He was held for bail.
