Halton police and the fire department are at the scene of a single residential fire in Oakville.
Police say the fire was on North Park Blvd.
According to police, the occupants and neighbours have evacuated and there are no injuries.
The road is currently closed at North Park Blvd. and Sawmill St.
Police say the cause of the fire is currently unknown.
UPDATE 1:15 p.m.: Police and the fire department remain at the scene. Police say the fire has not spread to any other homes and no one is injured. The road closure remains on Sawmill St. Police are advising the public to plan an alternate route if necessary.
UPDATE 4:05 p.m.: Police say the house fire has been extinguished. The Oakville fire department remains on the scene to confirm the cause of the blaze, which is not deemed suspicious at this time, according to police. The fire has rendered the home uninhabitable, but no residents were injured and no other homes were damaged, police say.
