Three male suspects are on the run following an Oakville bank robbery.
They may be linked “to incidents in other jurisdictions” within 60 km of Halton “but that hasn’t been confirmed,” said Halton police Det. Bill Marshall.
The trio entered the Scotiabank at 611 Third Line, on Dec. 27 at 5:40 p.m. – that’s right by the Husky station at Speers Rd. – and immediately went behind the customer counter.
The suspects – whose faces were covered – confronted employees who were preparing for the day’s closure, say investigators, and ordered them to the ground while cash was taken.

The trio fled from the back of the bank on foot — they were last seen running eastbound toward Wallace Rd.
No weapon was seen and no injuries were reported.
Investigators are combing through surveillance footage.
A similar heist took place in town on Oct. 27 but Marshall confirmed those suspects have been arrested and charged.
The suspects are described as dark, average height, with thin builds.
Here’s who police are looking for:
The first suspect was wearing a black hooded Puma sweatshirt with grey front, grey undershirt untucked at the waist, black pants, white shoes, and grey gloves.
The second suspect was wearing a black shirt and pants, dark shoes, and black gloves.
The third suspect was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, black pants, dark shoes, light gloves, and a light single-strapped bag worn across his chest.
